How pencils turned into tools to open a child friendly conversation on climate change.

Insight

Idea

Kid’s drawings don’t reflect how climate change threatens nature as we know it.
At the same time, they are the ones who will have to bear serious climate change impacts.

Experts suggest only by talking honestly and openly with kids about climate change, we can give them the knowledge and emotional resilience to fight for a better future and have them realize that there is still time for a change. Therefore, Faber-Castell creates a special set of color pencils to educate children about climate change.

Campaign
Details

Faber-Castell launches a special edition of drawing pencils to initiate a child-friendly conversation on climate change. Containing 24 specially curated colouring pencils it reflects the effects of climate change on mother nature. Children will be encouraged to submit their finished drawings to the brands drawing competition.

To make the kids part of the solution, every set of pencils will also include a ready-to-send envelope, so kids can send their depictions of nature to their local representative to spark conversation and drive change – one drawing at a time. To not only raise awareness but also take action, all earnings from the pencil sets will be donated to the brands
charity advocating for a sustainable use of resources.
